CEO’s MESSAGE
Naser Alim
Chairman of the Board & CEO
Honorary Consul of Montenegro in Edirne
Sustainable growth, strong employment, and long-term economic development are closely linked to a country’s ability to create value through trade and production. In this context, strengthening commercial ties between Türkiye and the Balkan region—connected by deep historical, cultural, and geographic bonds—continues to play a vital role not only in economic development, but also in regional stability.
If Türkiye serves as a bridge between East and West, the Balkans represent one of its most strategic pillars. Today, major transportation, energy, and logistics corridors pass through this region, reinforcing its importance within the broader European and Eurasian trade landscape.
My journey began in 1994, when I came to Istanbul from Prilep, North Macedonia, to pursue my university education. With the vision of contributing to stronger economic relations between Türkiye and the Balkans, I founded ALIM Group in Istanbul in 1998. From the very beginning, our strength has been rooted in our deep understanding of regional markets, cultures, and business practices—allowing us to build long-term, trust-based partnerships.
Our activities initially focused on the export and wholesale trading of wood-based panels for the furniture and construction industries across Balkan countries. In 2005, Boyut Plastik was established, and in 2010 it joined ALIM Group, marking our transition from pure trading into industrial manufacturing with a focus on furniture edge band production.
Over the years, ALIM Group has expanded into four core fields of activity: wood-based panel trading, furniture edge band production, renewable energy investments, and bottled spring water & beverage production.
Today, ALIM Group operates with 8 companies across 6 countries, including Türkiye, Montenegro, Serbia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, employing nearly 1,000 people. Our operations are supported by three production facilities and a total closed area exceeding 50,000 square meters.
In 2018, we moved our headquarters to our modern, four-story building in the Hadımköy region of Istanbul—strategically located near Istanbul Airport. This facility also serves as the main production center for Boyut Plastik.
Our investments continue to focus on long-term value creation. In Kosovo, the first phase of the MOKNE bottled water facility, with an investment value of €15 million, was completed in 2024, followed by additional capacity investments in 2025. In parallel, through Alim Solar, we have taken significant steps toward renewable energy, with 30% of our 50 MW solar power plant in North Macedonia already operational.
Across all our activities, we remain committed to responsible production, environmental sustainability, occupational health and safety, and the continuous development of our people. Our goal is to support our customers and partners by delivering reliable, innovative, and competitive solutions that strengthen their position in their respective markets.
Looking ahead, we will continue to expand into new and profitable markets, diversify our product portfolio through innovation, and further strengthen ALIM Group’s position as a trusted, sustainable, and regionally integrated global business group.
In addition, through our active roles within organizations such as DEİK, we will continue to contribute to economic diplomacy efforts and promote stronger commercial cooperation between Türkiye and the Balkan region.
I would like to thank all our business partners for their trust and cooperation throughout this journey, and I look forward to building an even stronger future together.
Sincerely,
Naser Alim
